What is Nogi Jiu Jitsu ?
什麼是無道袍巴柔？
無道袍巴西柔術（No-Gi BJJ）就是不穿傳統道袍、改穿運動排汗衣與短褲進行的現代柔術。我們不是要否定傳統，而是從傳統道袍（Gi）的底子上變出來的現代進化版。傳統道袍教我們最扎實的槓桿、防守結構跟耐心；而 No-Gi 則是脫掉道袍後，把這些技術直接拉到更高的速度跟爆發力。因為少了布料可以抓，你必須直接控制對手的頭、手腳跟重心，這讓攻防節奏變超快，也發展出非常致命的現代下肢鎖（Leg Locks）體系。
我們尊重道袍給我們的技術底子，但也擁抱 No-Gi 的實戰優勢。現實街頭跟 MMA 鐵籠裡，對手都不可能穿著厚厚的柔術道袍。學 No-Gi 就是把傳統柔術的智慧，直接變成本能、完全不受衣服限制的控制力。這不是背離傳統，而是讓柔術在現代格鬥跟日常防身裡，發揮出最真實、最硬核的樣子。
No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is modern grappling practiced in athletic rashguards and shorts instead of the traditional heavy uniform. We aren't rejecting tradition—it’s a natural evolution built directly on the shoulders of traditional Gi grappling. Where the Gi teaches precise leverage, structural patience, and technical discipline, No-Gi takes those exact fundamentals and accelerates them into a faster, more explosive arena. Without fabric to grab, you must control your opponent’s actual frame, head, and balance, paving the way for fluid scrambles and a lethal modern leg-lock game.
We respect the Gi as the foundation of fight science, but we embrace No-Gi for its real-world edge. Because opponents in MMA cages and real-world self-defense don't wear heavy uniform jackets, No-Gi strips away the artificial setup to deliver pure, instinctual body control. It’s not about fighting tradition—it’s about evolving it into a practical, hard-hitting system that works in any situation, regardless of what anyone is wearing.

今成老師的職業生涯與理念，不僅代表著精湛的降伏技巧，更象徵著勇於嘗試、突破框架，以及透過武術表達自我。

Founded under the guidance of Masakazu Imanari, one of Japan’s most iconic MMA fighters and the legendary “Master of Leg Locks,” the Imanari Jiu-Jitsu Association was created to share his vision of technical freedom and creative exploration.
Imanari Sensei’s career and philosophy represent more than just submissions — they embody the courage to experiment, to learn without limits, and to express individuality through martial arts.
This association welcomes everyone who shares a passion for Jiu-Jitsu, grappling, and MMA, regardless of experience or background. Together, we continue Imanari’s legacy — promoting an open, respectful, and innovative community where every practitioner can grow freely.
